Believe the Hype?

Conor McGregor makes his return to the UFC after a long lay off due to injury. A talented athlete, he is  one of the more hyped fighters in recent memory. Irish born, he is popular amongst his countrymen, to the pleasure of the UFC. Beyond his superior skills, many believe his push is due to being able to reach the Irish demographic.

Check out an inside look of McGregor's life here.

His critics include Cole Miller. A fighter that doesn't think McGregor deserves the attention he's garnered, or even that he should remember his name. If Miller is correct, he's been given the chance to prove it at UFC Fight Night 46 in July.

The two will headline the card taking place in McGregor's native Dublin. After animosity created by Miller, the UFC is placing their investment against a worthy gatekeeper that will gage where McGregor is as a challenger.

Miller has had a history of calling out fighters. It's a good way to keep yourself noticed in an ever growing roster. If he still fought at lightweight I would have loved to see a match up against Donald Cerrone. The two had a sparring of words similar to Miller and McGregor now.

Both participants will compete at featherweight. Maybe in the future if McGregor grows into his potential we can see him face stiffer competition at lightweight. Before then it is still a question how he will fair against Miller.

This will be his toughest competition yet. Will he live up to hype? The UFC hopes so.
